If you live in the North East, I’m sure it’s been tough to deal with the weather patterns this winter. One minute it’s snowing, the next minute it’s 70 degrees and sunny. But, the groundhog did see his shadow, so we still technically have a few weeks left of winter.
Here are a few tips to help you get through the rest of this season.
Check your appliances.
Now is the time to check how your appliances are performing — some changes can be an early warning sign. But don’t worry, if you notice an issue now, you have plenty of time to get it repaired before Spring.
Change your air filters.
Depending on where you live, this step should be performed every few months. A clean air filter is critical for the health of any home. Besides, it’s about to be allergy-season.
Seal your exterior.
We’re talking all gap and holes around your house — this may be a reason why you have high heating costs at the end of each month. You can seal gaps around windows or door frames with weather stripping and caulking.
