VERY satisfied with our project, which included Hardie siding, a new roof and a new deck. It came out better than we'd hoped for.
Neil and Austin, the FCE principal and on-site manager respectively, were both extraordinarily informative and accommodating throughout the process, and willing to work with us on special requests. The construction crew, led by Felipe, was terrific as well. Honest straight shooters, all of them. Very respectful, very clear in their communication.
We got three quotes for this. One was from a smaller contractor, who bid lower but was unresponsive. The other was from a very well-known competitor, who tried to hard-sell us. FCE's pricing was fair and the whole operation was very well run from start to finish.
For anyone considering a project like this: Do your homework, be realistic with your budgeting and scheduling, communicate clearly and be aware that stuff you didn't expect can and will crop up. In our case, when the town engineer inspected the deck, he required us to install an additional lolly column (post) under one edge to come up to current code. We also needed some plumbing work that we didn't anticipate. None of this was a problem, thanks to the professionalism of the contractor and realistic expectations on our part.

Just worked with Neil Sr, Neil Jr, and Austin to reside our entire house. The process from initial conversation through the actual project was seamless and the whole team was fantastic. They made it all easy on the homeowner and finished the project in a week and a half. We have an older home exterior and we’re really concerned about what we’d find under the original exterior. They document all of their findings before they start putting anything new up which was so appreciated but more than anything just another example of how trustworthy they are. We asked a ton of questions and found the team to be responsive and patient understanding that this is a big investment for the homeowner. Will be using them again in the future for our roof. Couldn’t recommend them and their entire team more!

I recently had Fairfield County Exteriors strip & install roof/siding and replace windows/gutters. Their crew was accommodating and very hardworking. There was an issue with a small section of the siding, however, it was quickly resolved to my complete satisfaction. This was after the project had been paid-in-full, a true test of great customer service. Thank you FCE!

If you are looking to get your exterior or windows replaced, look no further than Fairfield Country Exteriors. We recently did a complete exterior renovation of our home in Westport and we could not be happier with the results. Outstanding work! Neil and Austin and the crew did an amazing job and I can honestly say we are very pleased with the final results. It was a slightly tougher job than normal which involved a few contractors, but it all came together and FCE provided excellent guidance and thoughtful reassurance throughout the whole project. We especially liked the no-sales hustle we got from other contractors we interviewed for the job. FCE was easy to work with regarding the payments and we never felt pressured to sign anything in the beginning. We also had slight scope creep at the end, and again, Neil was more than reasonable in agreeing to a fair price for the extra work which was not included in the original estimate. If you are looking to get exterior work done, FCE is it.

A high quality and trustworthy company. They removed our vinyl siding and the wood siding under it, then installed JamesHardie plank siding. The transformation was dramatic!

We had such a positive experience with Fairfield County Exteriors.We hired them to replace our old roof, siding and gutters and it came out beautifully! The communication was consistent, pricing was on budget and timeline was as communicated. The project was really managed well. As with any home project in an older home things came up and Austin was able to help us navigate things smoothly. Thank you to Austin, Neil and the entire team at FCE. We had a terrific experience with Austin and the team at Fairfield County Exteriors and highly recommend them! We needed to replace an old concrete stoop but weren't sure exactly the best way to do it. Austin proposed several different ideas and ultimately designed a beautiful timbertech landing with new steps and a railing. The price was fair, the time estimate was accurate, and the work was really well done. The crew was professional and respectful and made sure that we were completely satisfied with the outcome, even making additional adjustments for us. In the scheme of things, I think ours was a small project for FCE, but we felt like valued customers from start to finish.

I highly recommend Fairfield County Exteriors! Working with Neil made the entire process easy and stress free. They re-sided my house in Royal Celect siding, replaced all trim, gutters, slider and fixed some other issues that previous contractors did not do correctly. The crew is highly skilled, professional and all materials were ordered and on site promptly for the start of the project.
